Dr Who: Room with a Deja (re)View

Rich Johnston was kind enough to offer an advance read of his new comic, in exchange for a review. So, here goes!

IDW's Doctor Who: Room with a Deja View is an impressive DW Debut from Rich. It's clear in its influences - Moore's Reversible Man, and the Two Ronnies have utilised the gimmick employed here, but its a quirk most suited to this title in particular, and it is used well when necessary, and suits this format especially. The 10th Doctor is portrayed well, recognisably in character (without becoming annoying). The designs for this issue, by artist 'Eric J' are reminiscent of Ridgeway's run on the comic, as are the supporting cast, not a bad thing. One or two wonky photo-refs do not detract from mostly excellent likenesses throughout. I give it a solid 8/10. You'll want to read it at least twice!
