Sometimes, google calendar in android does not show up calendars which have been shared to you.

Here's how I fixed it on my Moto G4:

Settings>Apps>Calendar>Data Usage>App Settings>
Now click on the name of the calendar which isn't showing up
Activate 'Sync'

Hey Presto! Sorted. Dan Fishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486354718487166038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5393801.post-70375996568751308602016-11-18T14:28:00.000+00:002016-11-18T14:28:45.274+00:00The terrifying secret of Teletubbies and Mr TumbleEarth had been aware of them for some time, the inhabitants of dimension 2B. They'd seemed harmless in the beginning; like oversized toddlers, with rudimentary speech; 'Eh-Oh' they'd excitedly repeat over and over, running around, overexcited. They'd been receiving our broadcasts too, learning about us. Somehow, they'd evolved the ability to view our television signals on their abdominal patches, a talent which had earned them their designation, Tele-2B's, or Teletubbies. It wasn't until more recently that other terrifying aspects of their life cycle became clear. The Teletubbies were breeding. The four known beings had somehow gained 8 offspring, designated Tiddlytubbies.

It was a natural extrapolation that Earth scientists would determine the next stage of the lifecycle of the creatures from dimension 2B: the Terrortubbies were coming.

And this is what led to possibly humanity's most heinous experiment: Project Tumble.

It was determined that a certain set of skills would be required to successfully engage and extinguish the Terrortubby threat. In order to counter the ridiculous nature of the tubbies, it was determined that circus skills, combined with teleportational magic could be used in the most lethal fashion. A spell was devised. By coating the creatures in supercharged dots, taking your finger, touching your nose, then blinking three times, the Terrortubbies touchscreen tummies would be ripped out and teleported across time and space. To this end, a volunteer was required, one with basic clowning skills. That volunteer was named Justin Fletcher.

A team of scientists began the arduous task of cloning Justin, splicing his DNA with various elements to enhance his clowning potential. In order to successfully cover the creatures with the supercharged dots, Justin's clumsiness would need to be enhanced to super luminous levels.

Initially, the Justins appeared similar. One Justin had something special, another was confined to a specially designed house, with a robot butler to increase his clownishness. A bevy of Justin's were deployed in different guises, known as the Gigglebiz variations. Eventually, it would be the extremely clown like 'Tumble' variants which would emerge as Earths best hope. Between them, the teleportation spell was perfected, and employed regularly to transport the 'Tumble Tap' between remote locations.

Now it is only a matter of time before Tubbies and Tumbles must encounter each other, on the battlefield. Although there is a danger that the Tumbles could become too powerful... In this eventuality, project Waybuloo may have to be activated...

If you've enjoyed this, you might choose to make a donation;
To me, via PayPal, or to one of these charities:
If you have a go at building your own, do let me know how it goes!

Note: the bricks with the brick pattern can be hard to come by - look out for these in the Gingerbread House model, or the Detectives Office set, for example. If you can't get hold of these, try replacing them with plates in various shades of red/brown/tan to achieve the desired effect.
50 Shades of Grape

by Dan Fish

Susan was a grape. A green grape, just ripe. If she was Human, she'd be a really really sexy human, with pertness in all the right places. As it was, she was a grape, nothing could change that. But she was a very very sexy grape, if such a thing could be. Which it could, because Susan was that thing.

Susan was part of a bunch of grapes. Thats just how it was for now. She'd never tried to count her fellow grapes, but at a guess it was more than ten, less than a hndred. Probably somewhere around the middle mark. If you'd put a gun to her head (if she had one), she would have guesstimated around 50 or so. But that's all it was. A guesstimate.

She never realised just how close that guesstimate was. But it was close. She was smart, as well as sexy. But still a grape. Albeit a smart, sexy grape.

But there was also another thing she had noticed.

Each of her fellow grapes was a different shade.

Oh, don't get me wrong, they were all green grapes. Nothing could change that. Thats just the way it was.
But, if she was to assume her guesstimate was correct (and it was), then one conclusion rang loudly in her ears (if she'd had them, like some freaky grape freak of nature) -

There had to be 50 shades of grape. 50 sexy shades. Each shade might be thought of as sexier that the last, in grape terms.

Just the thought of it made Susan ripen. All those shades of Grape, bunched together like the bunch of grapes they literally were. Each pert grape-like orb, jostling against each other. In the farmyard. In the back of a lorry. At the supermarket, and finally here, in the dark fridge.

The darkness was like a blindfold, pointless anyway, because grapes don't have eyes. Which was very sexy. She didn't mind. She was a grape, thats all that mattered, nothing could change that. She imagined all the things shemight do, and felt very sexy.

Over the coming days, she enjoyed the feeling of being a grape, firm pertness thrusting against her from th eother grapes, as she was transferred, with her fellow grapes to a fruitbowl.

She sighed with pleasure, as she was pulled forcefully from the rest of the bunch. Sensually, she slid into the mouth of the sexy human, who bit her. She liked it.

This is the picture I did for Ade Brown's 'Just 1 Page' Horror-themed Comics exhibition displayed recently at Orbital Comics in London. Eagle-eyed readers will recognise the inspiration, a mash-up of Thomas/Buscema's Avengers classic 'Even an Android can cry' (seen HERE for example), together with the 'Injury to the Eye' motif beloved of 1950's EC Horror comics (see example HERE).

by Timothy Winchester

Now in Colour!
This issue, Tim explores his familiar themes of Love, Obsession and Betrayal in a Medieval world of Magic and Wizardry. Oh, I just worked out the inside covers are wizards! I am slow. Tim is a master of pacing, using deceptively simple-looking drawings in many clever ways, and utilising the icons and lexicon of comics subversively to great effect. Recommended. Buy this!
You can read it online here, but print copies can be obtained for you to caress should you desire. I may be handing them out at this weekends Small Press Expo (March 12th at Goldsmiths University, London). Please enjoy safely, do not read while driving, or performing delicate surgical techniques.
Words: Douglas Noble
Art: Sean Azzopardi

Douglas Noble’s writing style is known for its ability to evoke mood, and that quality is put to good use in this haunting comic, relating the mysterious disappearance (reappearance?) of the titular rockstar, Wallace Sendek. Through a fractured timeline, Douglas and Sean have created a collage of vignettes, perhaps offering a glimpse into the background of the events that led to Sendek’s disappearance, through the sometimes-messianic reactions of his fans and others.

The gorgeous art by Mr Azzopardi lifts this to another plateau, his versatile skills displayed by presenting each mini-story drawn in a different style, contributing to the enigmatic presentation.

A great taster for these two stars of the UK comics scene. I recommend 'Complex' by Noble, and the 'Ed' and 'Necessary Monsters' collections by Azzopardi for some of their best individual work.Dan Fishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486354718487166038noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5393801.post-79524152786793357592010-11-16T21:39:00.001+00:002011-03-22T23:55:53.396+00:00People I Know #11

REVIEW of People I Know #11
by Timothy Winchester
Under a handsome picnic-coloured cover, Tim Winchester's latest epic unfolds in glorious black-and-white. What begins as an innocent conversation between The toastish diva Christina, and her cute dinosaur companion Toby evolves into a revealing Jeremy Kyle-esque tale of love, identity and retribution, (with twists I didn’t see coming), as Christina’s distressing dalliance takes a horrific turn for the worse, and she suffers an ignominy I guarantee we’ve all suffered at some point. There’s all this, and a makeover montage you simply must not miss.
